12 month fixed term contract / Secondment opportunity

£43,158 - £46,260 per annum inclusive of outer fringe allowance

We have an exciting opportunity for a community focused individual to join the council on a fixed term basis, whilst the current Community Partnerships Manager is on secondment.   We are looking for someone who will lead and support the community partnerships team as the council focuses on recovery from COVID-19. The successful candidate will have prior knowledge and expertise around community safety as well as a broad understanding of community and partnership development.

Someone with plenty of enthusiasm, energy and a passion for making a difference in the community is essential. Strong multitasking, communication and creative skills are critical.

The role requires daily communication with a range of key stakeholders, community leaders and internal departments including working closely with councillors.

The team is made up of a diverse and experienced group of officers looking after a range of areas including community partnerships, sports development, town centre business engagement, community events, community grants, youth partnerships and community safety. 

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
