We are advertising an exciting opportunity to join our Seafront Ranger Service from 01 April 2021 – 30 September 2021.
As part of the Venues, Seafront and Events Team, the post holder will support our current team of Seafront Rangers during peak season to deliver a wide range of services on Weston Seafront.
Responsibilities will include ensuring the daily safety and cleanliness of the Seafront, providing welcoming and friendly public advice or information, attending to: first aid, lost children as well as monitoring both water and beach safety. The rangers are often first in attendance, providing or co-ordinating a multiagency response to emergencies. You may also be required to support other services such as the Tropicana, Seafront Parking and The Bay Café.
Flexibility, team work and communication skills are essential to this role. The post holder will be a practical individual with strong initiative and a can-do attitude. The ability to undertake basic repairs and maintenance as well as make and retain records using Microsoft Office packages is desirable.
This post will include evening and weekend working as part of a scheduled rota, providing operational cover between 7am – 10pm. Applicants must hold a full valid driving licence to be considered for this role.
