Teaching Assistant

The Governors of Horn’s Mill Primary School wish to appoint a temporary teaching assistant to join our hard working and dedicated team from September 2021 until August 2022. We are looking for somebody who shares our extremely high standards and is passionate about offering ‘over and above’ to ensure the best possible learning experiences for our children.  If you are an inclusive and caring individual who is skilled in removing barriers to learning, then this is the opportunity for you.  We would be delighted to hear from both experienced and newly qualified candidates. We are keen to offer training where necessary to the right candidate.

The successful candidate will work in Year 6 and will provide specific support for two children who have Education, Health and Care Plans.  This post requires a significant amount of time working with individual children with additional needs to support their effective access to the curriculum.

Horn’s Mill will offer you the opportunity to join a friendly, supportive, passionate and committed staff and some truly amazing children in a school that continually strives for excellence.

Due to the current circumstances, we are unable to offer our usual ‘walk rounds.’  However, you will find extensive information on our website including a virtual tour, which we hope will help you decide if Horn’s Mill is the place for you.

Our school community places the highest priority on keeping our children safe.  Applicants for all posts will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate will be subject to the relevant checks and enhanced DBS.
