We are very proud of our school. Our vision is: A place everyone loves to be. We genuinely live this every day. We have amazing children who are committed to their learning. They are enthusiastic and turn up every day excited to learn. Our community is also very supportive and we have excellent relationships with our parents. Our staff are a wonderful group of people. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is ready to help. We are a real team. We are very much, ‘all in this together’.
Of course, we are incredibly proud of being the 2020 Primary School of the Year. We’re also proud of our many other accolades including: 2020 TES Wellbeing and Mental Health School of the Year; Inclusion Quality Mark Flagship School; School Mental Health Gold Award; EAL Gold Award; Silver Award (Teaching Awards) Excellence in Special Needs Education, and so much more.
We are recognised nationally and internationally for our work on wellbeing for our children, community, and staff. We could happily talk all day about our school but we’d love to talk to you about how you could become part of our incredible team.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person to join our team of committed staff who would like to provide a key role in maintaining our school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.
Kensington Primary School is a 3-storey building that is 120 years old and stands tall in the heart of our community. We are very proud of our building so we especially want someone who will really care for our school, ensuring it looks its best, is safe and exemplifies the high expectations we have of our children. The role will include a wide range of responsibilities and duties connected with the fabric of the building, health and safety, grounds, facilities maintenance and security.
Duties will include:
- Being a hands on individual who can develop and implement systems/procedures
- Carrying out and recording statutory checks to help maintain Health and Safety records
- Maintenance of the property and grounds to a high standard including liaising with contractors
- Carrying out DIY above and beyond the scope of a competent DIY person and completing more specialist work as required
- Supervise the cleaning staff, monitor site stock and order supplies as necessary
- Willingness to attend training courses relating to good estate management and health and safety
- Being able to prepare and implement risk assessments and action any recommendations
- Previous experience would be preferable but not necessary as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will be required to act as a key holder.
You will be given an Ipad to support your role. You will use this to communicate with us and to also complete your duties that will be logged using our site management app.
Our school is part of The Tapscott Learning Trust and we share our skills, knowledge, expertise and resources across our sites. Our site teams are very friendly and always willing to help one another as we take a lot of pride in our schools
If you are passionate about providing a safe, welcoming and purposeful environment for children, staff and visitors then we would be keen to hear from you.
Visits to the school are strongly encouraged and can be arranged by contacting the School Business Manager, Shazidur Rahman on 020 8470 2339.
