Senior Surveyor

We’re building for the future in Gravesham, with work starting on the first phase of the multi-million pound regeneration of Gravesend town centre alongside a number of major private residential developments.

It’s an exciting and challenging environment and we’re looking for property professionals to join our experienced and talented team as we work to play our part in delivering a Gravesham to be proud of.

The role- The Property Department is responsible for managing the Council’s diverse and substantial commercial property portfolio and plays a key role in a number of regeneration projects in the Borough.  We are now seeking a Senior Surveyor (part or fully qualified) to join the small team who will enjoy a varied workload which will include all aspects of commercial property management as well as involvement with a variety of corporate projects.

The post involves travel across the Borough for which an essential car user allowance is payable (included in above package).

Essential qualifications/experience- The Senior Surveyor will be expected to be MRICS or working towards that qualification and be or be willing to work towards joining the RICS Valuers’ Accreditation Scheme.  Experience of commercial property management and valuations is essential as are excellent negotiating, influencing and communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative, within deadlines and to procedures.

Desirable qualifications/experience- Local Authority experience is desirable but not essential.
