Job Title: Part Time Assistant Support Worker
Salary: 7.5 hours p/w £4,203.79 per annum
15 hours p/w £8,407.58 per annum
22.5 hours p/w £12,611.36 per annum
30 hours p/w £16,815.15 per annum

The Barnet Group is currently seeking to recruit assistant support workers. We are looking for hard working people who have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people with learning disabilities to work on an exciting new outreach activity project.
The role will report to the co-ordinator and will work closely with other YCB assistant support workers as well as NHS staff on site.
You will be responsible for:
Planning and supporting people to access a wide range of activities, ensuring people have fun but also that people are supported to live active, fulfilling lives where they have choice and control and are supported to achieve their goals
We are looking for people who have the following skills and attributes:
- Can use their initiative in planning and delivering activities
- can chat to people who communicate without speech
- can support people when they are sad or upset
- can communicate clearly with colleagues, other professionals, families and the public
You may be working alone as well as part of a team, so will need to be able to use your initiative whilst following guidelines & routines – liking a challenge is essential! If you are looking for work that is the same every day, this is not for you, flexibility is very important and you may be required to work evenings and weekends.
The SRS service is located at the Kingsley Green hospital site in Radlett Hertfordshire.
