Lead Practitioner

Exciting opportunities have arisen in the Adult Social Care Service within Sefton Council. Sefton are looking for 1 lead practitioner for the North Team based at Southport Town Hall. We are seeking interest from a qualified and experienced social worker to fill a part time Lead Practitioner post within the Adult Social Care team based at Southport Town Hall.

The successful candidate must possess an excellent knowledge the legislative framework governing Adult Social Care and preferably have experience of both supervision of staff and performance management. The ability to make decisions around risk, prioritise work effectively and have the confidence to make complex case decisions in the absence of the Team Manager is essential in this role. Experience of working across multiple client services users’ groups would also be advantageous.

This is a busy team that function is provide prevention and intervention including asset-based assessment of needs to adults from the age of 18 onwards. The team operates within a supportive management environment and professional development is positively promoted through individual supervision and via monthly practitioners’ meetings.
