The role:

The role offers an exciting opportunity to join our corporate and finance teams and playing a key part in the recovery plans for the council and the wider borough as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The council is looking for a proactive individual to work with council officers to identify opportunities to access and apply for external grant funding for the benefit of the Borough of Gravesham, as well as maintain a corporate overview of grant activity. 

The postholder will also be responsible for delivering part of the council’s Economic Stimulus Package for the Borough, by supporting the local community/voluntary sector and sports clubs/organisations to increase their sustainability and resilience through identifying additional funding sources they may be entitled to access.

The successful candidate will have a positive outlook, excellent communication skills and be able to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks at the same time.  They will also possess excellent numeracy and literacy skills and have proven experience of preparing bids for funding.

Occupational Health also works with us to resolve any issues in the workplace and also to ensure that well-being at work is maintained.
