Team Manager Lead on Participation and Engagement - 16+ Care Leavers service

The 16+ Care Leavers Service is recruiting a Team Manager Lead on Participation and Engagement, initially on a 1 year fixed term contract, with the view to extend this to 2 years. 

You will lead, manage and coach a small team of personal advisors responsible for delivering and improving services for care experienced young people. To improve outcomes for children in care and young people by developing effective partnership working with other Council services and partner agencies to ensure efficient delivery of the service.

You will be competent in all areas of the PCF at Advanced Social Worker level and The Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS) for practice supervisors. 

This role will also include being the Lead on Participation and Engagement within the 16+ Service. This post will require networking skills, understanding the needs of young people, listening to the voices of young people and providing opportunities for young people to experience different opportunities within Medway delivered either via the service or via partner agencies.  You will be responsible for facilitating and increasing young people participation and will support the development and delivery of a strategic approach to engagement so that it becomes an integral part of the Service and whole Council. This pivotal role will be working with young people and staff to develop service user insight to drive an Outstanding service provision.
