Brighton & Hove City Council’s Parking Services have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our Strategy and Contracts Team whilst gaining a Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship qualification. The team offering this opportunity are the parking contracts and strategy team. They are responsible for analysing and reporting on a large variety of data.

The Data Technician at level 3 is run by Ginger Nut Training who is responsible for supporting you with your learning and carrying out assessments. The course has core modules to complete and may have a number of optional units. Your work experience will be linked to the modules and units in your course. You will receive additional support from a nominated mentor, throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship.

About the role

Apprentices will gain knowledge in all the areas outlined in the apprenticeship standard including extracting, collating and formatting data; data analysis; communication methods; the value of data; Legal and Regulatory requirements; evaluating and explaining data and a number of other knowledge skills and behaviours. The successful applicant will gain invaluable experience in the workplace in applying and putting this learning in practice whilst building and developing relationships with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders and working in a team to meet the requirements of the service.

Apprentices without certificate evidence of level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to completing training and you will be required to take an English and Maths assessment prior to a formal offer being made.

The duration of the apprenticeship will be up to 27 months (NB your contract will end on successful completion of the apprenticeship)

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.
