Reporting to the Senior Accountant, and based in the Finance & Property service, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the of the Council’s cashflow and providing advice and information to colleagues across the organisation to enable them to make key business decisions in a challenging and ever changing environment.
The successful applicant must be numerate and computer literate, including the use of Excel spreadsheets, with a wide knowledge and experience of accountancy and the ability to give advice to non-finance staff. Applicants should be undertaking AAT Level 4 or already a qualified Accounting Technician (or equivalent, or qualified by experience) with 3 years’ experience in an accounting environment. Further training opportunities are available to the successful applicant.
We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
