Intermediate Care Assistants

About the Role

We provide a short-term flexible service for people who could benefit from a reablement programme in their own home.

Reablement encourages people, often those who are disabled or frail, or recovering from injury or illness, to develop the confidence and skills required to allow them to continue living at home.

Working alongside health and Social Services colleagues our Intermediate Care Assistants play a key role in this by supporting and reabling our service users with the tasks that they may find difficult to do; including food preparation, medication and personal care.

We’re looking for people who can cover mornings and evenings.

Split shifts – 36.75 hours per week. 7 day fortnight.
Hours: 7.30am – 1.30pm and 4.30pm – 9.00pm.
Salary: £21,601 - £26,858 + 10% Shift Allowance

You would be required to work a set shift pattern including weekends and bank holidays however be flexible at times to meet client needs.

A driving licence is essential for this role due to the need to travel across the Borough.  We will pay your mileage when travelling around for work.  We will provide successful candidates with Parking Permits in Reading to assist with the role when driving and parking for work.
