Hertfordshire SASH specialises in working with young people aged 11-17 years who may be experiencing a number of challenges.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the Practice Manager in this small team which you will lead.
This is a service wide position that will play a leading role in delivering improvements in practice and performance across the Service. The postholder will undertake a number of themed audits, observations and projects to ensure that our performance is achieving improved outcomes for young people. The post holder is part of the Vulnerable Young People Strategy and Development Team and will play a key role in the implementation of initiatives related to developments around both Child Exploitation, Contextual Safeguarding and 16- and 17-year olds presenting as Homeless in particular.
Arrangements and protocols for supporting homeless young people in Hertfordshire are well established with good working arrangements between the housing department and the organisations supporting young people.
This is a challenging but rewarding role and the postholder will have an extensive knowledge of homeless legislation and experience and understanding of auditing under a quality assurance framework.
The postholder will be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England. Also educated to degree level (or equivalent).
