SEN & Disabled Children's Service Business Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, ambitious and innovative individual to join the SEN and Disabled Children’s Service on a fixed term basis due to secondment.

This is a key role within the Service. The post holder will be required to monitor a range of high profile budgets, collate and analyse data and support the development of policy and strategy in relation to children with SEN and disabilities. The successful candidate will ideally have experience or a qualification in accountancy/finance and have advanced numerical skills.

The post holder will directly manage the Senior Administrator and the Finance Assistant. However, they will be asked to provide direction and leadership to the whole administration team, currently 7 people, including annual reviews and performance management for all members of the team. They will be actively involved in the allocation of work and creating and maintaining systems for administrative support.

This is a challenging and diverse role which requires the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of colleagues across the Council and in schools and other agencies.

The ability to work on your own initiative and balance competing priorities is paramount – as is being able to work to tight timescales and to prioritise your own workload.
