Health and Wellbeing Coach

Do you have the ability to inspire and motivate children, families and or adults to enable changes to their lifestyles? Do you have excellent communication and people skills and enjoy working with the public? If you have a passion for healthy lifestyle and the knowledge and skills in behaviour change interventions, then this role could be for you.

The Supporting Healthy Weight Team are recruiting Health Coaches that will support those children and their families/carers to lead healthier lives.

Working in partnership with Medway South Primary Care Network, the project will encompass a whole family approach, and offer practical support for those who may be overweight, living with increased levels of poor mental health, who are physically inactive, practice poor eating habits, and who may struggle with parenting issues. This role will be key in understanding the behaviours and lifestyle of the family and in supporting lifestyle behaviour change.

Essential Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or experience of service delivery in relevant health area.
  • Qualification, or experience of, working with clients to support behaviour change.
  • Evidence of continual professional development.

Desirable Qualification

  • Motivational Interviewing and Behaviour change training.
  • Qualification or training in listening skills
