Communities Covid Response Lead

Fixed term until 31st March 2022

Wokingham Borough Council is implementing the Governments Contain framework as part of its response to Covid-19 recovery. Further information on the Contain framework can be found at:

To achieve this, we are recruiting a Communities Covid Lead to lead the Neighbourhood and Communities services response.  This role is key to Wokingham Borough Council’s response to Covid and the Governments road map.

With your ability to lead and deliver effective strategies and manage multiple tasks and priorities in an environment requiring tight deadlines, you will be responsible for the implementation of the Contain Framework and coordinating this vital piece of work within the organisation, in conjunction with internal and external partners. Your areas of accountability will be:

  • Community Champions, Towns and Parishes and Community Engagement – Contain response
  • Covid Advice, Enforcement and Community Engagement - Contain response
  • Working with the vulnerable and Community Engagement – Contain response

The lead role will report directly to the Assistant Director, Neighbourhoods and Communities. 

The successful applicant will have experience of delivering public facing services and experience of managing projects.
