*Qualified and HCPC registered Social Worker.
*Post qualifying experience is essential and a proven track record of assessing the needs of young people and their families.
* Knowledge of legislation relating to homeless young people

About us:
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Social Worker within the VYP Strategy and Development Team in the Specialist Adolescent Service Hertfordshire Service. The new position is to be the main point of contact/Social Worker who, working closely with Herts Young Homeless and Housing Colleagues, undertakes Child and Family Assessments on 16/17-year olds presenting as homeless.  This role is currently based in Hatfield within the Herts Young Homeless Office, to see if there is added benefit of co-location but is a county wide service.

This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your social work practice with adolescents and to truly influence the lives of vulnerable young people and will involve a considerable amount of joint working with Herts Young Homeless and Housing Colleagues.

Responsibilities include:
* Completing Child and Family Assessment for young people presenting as homeless, within a multi-agency environment
* Recording accurate and comprehensive case management information, using various IT packages
* Working in partnership with a wide range of key organisations and individuals
