PA to the Principal

Wade Deacon High School

We are seeking to appoint a talented Personal Assistant to fully support the Principal providing the highest standard of professional service and administrative support, acting as first point of contact, and managing calls and visits with consummate authority, diplomacy and warmth.

Often with a high degree of autonomy, you will have responsibility for ensuring that the Principal is able to focus on strategic priorities. The role requires prioritising a demanding and varied workload in a very busy office environment.  With the support of an experienced administrative team you will work closely with the Operations and Administration Manager, Finance and Facilities Manager, and Senior Administration Leader, ensuring effective management of critical support functions and statutory processes.  The post entails high levels of confidentiality and public relations skills. You will have the ability to forge strong relationships at all levels.

Wade Deacon is a 1600-place, oversubscribed 11-16 High School with excellent academic standards significantly above the national average.  Our last OFSTED described us as “an outstanding school" in every category. We have developed exceptional International links with top schools in Japan, China and India.

In 2014 we were shortlisted for both 'Employer of the Year' in the Investors in People Awards, and ‘Excellence in Learning and Development’ in the Personnel Today Awards, in recognition of our commitment to growth and excellence through supporting, recognising and encouraging our staff. We have a state-of-the-art new building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff alike.

The Wade Deacon Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, satisfactory medical clearance and evidence of eligibility to work in the UK.
