Personal Adviser

The Care Leavers Asylum Team is a busy and supportive team working with care leavers who were unaccompanied asylum seeking children.

In this role you will need experience of direct work with young people as well as knowledge and experience of working with young people leaving care.

You will also need experience of working with asylum seeking young people and an understanding of the issues that they face, plus a good working knowledge of relevant legislation. You will be a good team player and be open to learning and developing your knowledge and skills.

As a Personal Adviser, you will be the allocated worker for young people as well as participating in the team duty system. You will be responsible for regularly reviewing Pathway Plans and ensuring case records are up to date, therefore good recording and report writing skills are essential.

Our office base is Consort House in Redhill. We work in an agile way and have been home-based during the COVID 19 pandemic, but we are gradually returning to our office base. The role involves travelling to see our young people who live across Surrey, in London and often much further afield.
