The Headteacher and the Governors of the Hammersmith Academy Trust invite applications for two Academic Mentors in Maths and Science to support us to improve progress for KS4 students, to increase motivation and enjoyment of Maths and/or Science and to increase the number of students choosing STEM courses at University.

Hammersmith Academy is a state-of-the-art, non-denominational, all-ability, co-educational secondary school for 11-18 year olds.  Sponsored by City of London Livery Companies; the Mercers’ Company and the Information Technologists’ Company, the Academy opened in September 2011 and is currently in its 10th Year since inception.  We have grown to approximately 942 students on roll.

Applications are welcomed from recent graduates with a Science or Maths degree.  Applicants should be passionate about supporting students, especially from a disadvantaged background, and about improving attitudes towards STEM subjects.

Hammersmith Academy is a heavily oversubscribed and successful inner-city school that has been judged Good in our most recent OFSTED report (2017).
