We are looking for people with motivation and commitment to improving people’s lives and a desire to empower and promote independence. At the moment we have an opportunity for bank staff at Mallow Crescent.
Mallow Crescent comprises of six modern houses in Burpham (near Guildford) providing a range of services for people with learning disabilities including supported living and short breaks. We support and enable people with daily living tasks, personal care, access to leisure pursuits, education, skills development and social networks within the local community, using a person centred approach. This is an interesting and rewarding role.
The hourly rate for this position is £11.69 plus 14% annual leave allowance for a variety of shifts to support our 24 hour service at 25 - 30 Mallow Crescent, Burpham, Guildford, Surrey. We are happy to show you examples of shifts we require.
Bank staff are an important part of the large Mallow Team and will receive the same level of training as full time staff. The hours offered are different each week to cover gaps in the main rota due to full time staff being on leave, training etc. We are particularly looking for people who can work at the weekends 8am to 4pm or 3pm to 10pm and some 7am starts during the week. Shift lengths range from 3 - 9 hours.
Shift work includes weekends and some sleep in duties, for which there is an extra payment.
An interest and desire to support people with learning disabilities is essential and experience would be beneficial, but Surrey County Council’s mandatory training and additional specific training will be provided.
We require people to have a driving license and be willing to drive the site cars.
