Job Title: Level 1 Health & Social Care Trainee Programme (Pre-Apprenticeship)
Location: Job roles available across Hertfordshire
Grant Payments: £120.35 per week
Hours: 29 per week including study time
Contract: 12 Month Traineeship

Are you looking for your first step in employment?

Our Level 1 Pre-Apprenticeship offers a supported year in employment, enabling you to kick-start a career in adult care.

This programme is suited to anyone looking to take their first steps into the world of work. Perhaps they are not yet ready to commit to an apprenticeship as they are looking to work on other skills such as employability or even how to balance their work/ home life.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course however, you do need to be aged between 16 to 24 for us to fund your position and be able to undertake functional skills exams.

This programme will enable you to be able to assist service users in developing and improving their independence, through providing basic care and supervision within residential homes and day services.

Throughout the course you will be very well supported, to help you feel confident in your own employment.

As well as the 2 qualifications you will achieve in adult health and social care, there will be:

  • Functional skills entry 3 Maths and English
  • Employability workshops where we can help you create a CV / supporting statement to help you apply for positions (internal and external) and mock interviews
  • A helping hand when applying for your ‘next job’

Please note: If you are successful following your interview, you will be asked to come in to one of our admin days to complete new starter documents and documents for your college enrolment. 

Closing Date: Sunday 18th July 2021
Interview Date: 28, 29 & 30th July 2021
Programme Start Date: 4th October 2021
