Salary Range: H8 - M1 £27,741 - £39,880pa plus £6,000 relocation package, £1000 welcome payment & lease car* terms apply

Watford & Three Rivers Adult Disability Team have opportunities for two social workers including a post for a specialist social worker supporting people with Asperger’s Syndrome.
The successful candidates for both posts will be registered social workers with experience of working with adults with disabilities within health and social care settings and have actively participated in multi-agency work. You will be responsible for delivering high quality statutory social care including safeguarding, strength-based assessment, and undertaking care management functions as well as providing information and developing creative community solutions. You will be seeking to develop links with the local community and undertaking multi-agency work with partner organisations, providers, professionals, individuals, families and carers.
You will be expected to:
- Demonstrate professionalism in working with individuals, families, other agencies and colleagues
- Use analytical skills to inform assessment, decision making and intervention, supporting others to do the same where appropriate
- Complete support planning to ensure that outcomes identified at assessment are met through the provision of support, equipment, adaptations and enabling programmes
- Engage with, assist and providing advice to carers, and conducting carers assessments when appropriate,
For the Asperger’s social work role, you will be an experienced practitioner with specialist knowledge and skills and/or be willing to undertake training to work with people with Asperger’s to ensure best practice and new evidence in working with autistic people is shared and adopted.
There will be opportunities to undertake training either as a NQSW or a more experienced social worker from our highly regarded in-house training programme as well as specialist post qualifying training where appropriate.
