If so, then we have some great opportunities to join us in our fight against Covid-19.

We’re looking for Covid Contact Tracers to play a key role in supporting the work of our Public Protection team to contain the spread of Covid-19. You will carry out local contact tracing of the positive cases and other prevention work to support our Covid response service by telephone. You will be required to undertake telephone interviews, provide advice, keep accurate records and work with other agencies.  This will be a varied role.

This post is temporary for 12 months and is based at Morecambe Town Hall.

The hours of work are 37 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 on a shift rota basis, including weekends. Staff cover is required each working day during office hours, weekends and Bank Holidays. Cover to be shared between the 3 posts. The post is based at Morecambe Town Hall but much of the current operational work will be conducted remotely using MS Teams.

The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. Subject to the needs of this business, this may allow employees to work between the hours of 6:00am-10:30pm.

For internal applicants, this role can be a secondment opportunity. The secondment of an employee from another Service can only take place with the agreement of the Manager of the Service the applicant is contracted to.
