We have a vacancy for a Fostering Support Officer in the fostering recruitment and assessment team at Charles Babbage House. Good interpersonal and customer friendly skills are essential. The post holder needs to be confident and enthusiastic when promoting fostering at recruitment events, information sessions and when taking enquiries over the phone. The postholder will have the opportunity to run information session for fostering applicants. Good written skills are required as the post holder will be undertaking initial visit assessments to fostering applicants and recording these using an analytical model.

Good recording and organisational skills are important, in order to ensure applicants are followed up in a timely and effective manner and that competing demands are prioritised.

An understanding of the specific needs of children in care and how these can be met in a family placement is required. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals that do not require a social work qualification.
