Head of Chemistry

Required for January 2022. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring and dedicated teacher of Chemistry, to join an outstanding team of practitioners.  Candidates wishing to apply should have a passion for their subject and the ability to teach to GCSE and Advanced level.

Our students routinely achieve excellent results.  In 2019, 86% of students achieved grade 4+ in GCSE Combined Science, 100% in GCSE Biology, 92% in GCSE Chemistry and 98% in GCSE Physics. Biology, Physics and Chemistry are popular at Advanced level and many students go on to study Science at Higher Education.

Ranelagh is an 11-18 coeducational, Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos.  The school has had four ‘outstanding’ OFSTED reports, with Grade 1 across all areas, but we are not complacent and as such the provision for professional learning and development is something of which we are all very proud.

If you have a very good knowledge and understanding of the subject and you are an excellent teacher looking to develop your career in a supportive and progressive environment, we would welcome an application from you.  The opportunities for professional growth development are excellent.

If you are interested in learning more about the position, please contact the Headteacher via, the School Office on 01344 421233 or by email, at recruitment@bonitas.org.uk    Details of the post are also available on the school website.
