Team Manager – Emergency Duty Team

The role of the Team Manager is fundamentally important in driving quality practice, leading and implementing innovation and embedding the values and behaviours we expect in Wirral.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to strengthen the offer of support provided to children, young people and Adults, providing key leadership and management over a fast-paced and enthusiastic social care workforce.

 

Role Specific

You will lead a team of Approved Mental Health Practitioners working within the Emergency Duty Team, on a range of cases providing sound oversight, reflective supervision, and timely and appropriate support. A key requirement of this role involves undertaking the duties, roles, and functions of an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP), in line with the terms of the Mental Health Act 1983.

Flexible working arrangements are required, which included evening and weekend work on a rota basis.

As a Team Manager you will also have access to a range of learning and development opportunities provided directly by our professional and dedicated Practice Improvement Team who are accessible and available to deliver practical guidance, learning and advice as and when you need it.
