As our Graphic Designer you’ll have the opportunity to promote the Optivo brand across a variety of channels.
Working as part of a busy Communications Team in the housing sector, you’ll create modern and forward thinking designs appropriate for our various stakeholders. Your creativity will allow you to produce and support design work for use across our communications channels, including printed & digital publications, newsletters, email, social media and our websites.
You’ll play a pivotal role in how we reach others with key messages and will use your expertise to explore improvements to the way we communicate.
Your work will be used in campaigns aimed at internal and external audiences. You’ll lead on the production and delivery of our in-house digital staff newsletter. You’ll also design the digital and printed editions of our resident newsletters.
You’ll also be responsible for advising and supporting customers with design request in line with our corporate brand guidelines, internal processes and industry best practise.

You’ll need a minimum of 2 years’ experience of graphic design in a business environment and will hold a relevant qualification for graphic design.
Hands on experience of programmes within the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Acrobat) are essential and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) would be favourable. The ability to pick up and use other digital programmes is also beneficial.
You’ll ideally have experience working on multi-channel campaigns and will be able to draw on experience of leading on design projects, from conception to delivery.
This role requires the successful candidate to have exceptional written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills. You’ll be able to work independently and as part of a team. You’ll need to be flexible and willing to take on new tasks as priorities change.
*This role will be office based but there will be the opportunity for some flexibility to allow working from home (to be agreed with your line manager in line with Optivo’s wider working procedures). Travel between office locations and other Optivo’s operating areas sites will be required occasionally.
^ Please note: the role offers a maximum of 30 hours a week but for the right candidate we are open to you working fewer hours (minimum of 25 hours per week) if this is your preference.
