35 Hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Working 8.00am-4.00pm, Monday to Friday
Actual salary: NJC Scale 6, pts 18-20, £25,080 to £25,992 per annum
Required: from as soon as possible
We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to cover absent teachers on a short-term basis, teaching a variety of different subjects. You will normally be given work to set for the class but may occasionally be asked to provide work or activities yourself. You will teach the lesson and help with any assessment, as far as possible.
We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience of teaching or are confident in delivering lessons to a class.
Some of the key skills and qualifications that you must have are:
- Good numeracy/literacy skills
- Training in relevant teaching & learning strategies
- Having worked with or be working with children of a relevant age preferably with experience of supervision
It would be desirable if applicants had a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HTLA) qualification or equivalent
