The role

The council are currently migrating staff to the Microsoft 365 suite of products, including the use of Microsoft Teams for remote meetings.

In order to successfully rollout these new services we are seeking an enthusiastic individual who has good organisational and communication skills who will act as the project champion and arrange the transition with users as well as ensure they have access to the training and guidance materials they need.

Main responsibilities

Undertake a range of tasks including:

Liaise with departments, sections and teams on the timing of their migration to M365

Close liaison with the IT Services Technical team in order to ensure the smooth transition to M365

Provide training and guidance to newly migrated users of M365

Communicate with all stakeholders on current project progress

Ensure the project plan is kept up-to-date and accurate

Ensure that all system documentation is kept up to date

Be the “champion“ for the M365 project in the council.

Essential qualifications/experience- Good communication skills

Ability to familiarise quickly with new software applications

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (including 365).

Good knowledge of project management methods

Good secondary education

Involvement on a previous major project

Training of staff on new processes / procedures

Desirable qualifications/experience- A project management qualification
