We are looking to recruit a full time Environmental Protection Officer to work within a small team, principally concerned with environmental protection work. The post is permanent involving a range of duties including air quality, environmental permitting, noise and light nuisance investigation, and statutory consultation work in relation to planning and licensing applications.

We are seeking a technical officer with experience of regulating within an environmental health field. It is also essential you have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, be well-organised and committed to high standards of customer care. If you have the appropriate skills and experience, we can offer a challenging opportunity for you within a friendly team.

The post will be based in the Council’s Parker Lane Offices within Burnley Town Centre. Provision is being made for working from home during the pandemic.

The Council’s licensing service is delivered by a strategic partner (Liberata UK Ltd) and the successful post-holder will be seconded to the strategic partner.
