North Somerset’s Disabled Children’s Team are looking to recruit a committed, passionate and enthusiastic Family Support Key Worker to join their team of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and existing Family Support Key Workers.  Based in Weston-super-Mare we cover the whole of North Somerset and work with approximately 200 children, young people and their families.

As a Family Support Key Worker, you will offer practical help and emotional support to families who are caring for a disabled child(ren).  You will undertake an initial assessment of the families’ needs through Early Help so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues the families are experiencing.  You will co-ordinate and work with the families and other agencies involved with disabled children, to promote a positive outcome by meeting their needs and achieving the goals identified in their service plan.

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
