Band F SCP 12 – 19 (£22,183 - £24,481 pro rata)
Salary range £16, 844 - £19,348.
Working hours are between the hours of 8.50 am and 4.45 pm
Term Time plus 5 INSET days
The Governors of Merefield School would like to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and highly experienced Teaching Assistant who is fluent in British Sign Language to become part of our successful and hard-working team. The role will involve supporting a profoundly deaf pupil within a class group and introducing and modelling BSL to the whole class. The post is fixed term until 31st August 2022.
Merefield School is an all age, 3-19 Special School in Ainsdale. We cater for 105 students with severe and complex learning needs. We have carefully and meticulously created a curriculum that stimulates and challenges each of our students based on their individual needs and starting points. Our personalised approach and tailored assessment systems ensure that all students make outstanding progress during their time at Merefield School.
It is essential that the applicant complements our existing highly professional team. Applicants should be appropriately qualified and have relevant skills and experience in working with children with severe and complex learning disabilities.
