West Blatchington Primary & Nursery School is an exciting, forward looking school and a great place to work. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated candidate, with a proven success record of supporting children to reach their full potential in school. There is a possibility for the successful candidate to develop not only themselves but the role of learning and inclusion mentor. The candidate would be supported in their personal career development to potentially further evolve the role.
Paid weeks per year: 47.15 inclusive of holiday entitlement

About the role
The successful candidate will need to have the following skills, capabilities and experience:
- Experienced Learning Mentor (desirable)
- Understanding of the principles of child development and learning processes and, in particular, barriers to learning
- Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders
- Committed to raising attainment of all pupils
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work with initiative and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to provision
- Experience of child protection procedures
We are a busy and dynamic school with 250 pupils and provide a warm, friendly working environment.
