Contact Tracer Team Leader - Covid 19

Full time position (Monday to Sunday)

Fixed-term position up until 31/03/2022

Location: Remote working *

* As there will be a need to work out in the borough on occasions, you must be able to work in the Sefton area as and when required.

In response to the current Covid-19 Pandemic new opportunities have arisen as the Council are recruiting full time Contact Tracer Team Leaders. 

The post holder will be an experienced contact tracer, responsible for the day to day management of a team of contact tracers. Providing support for a contact tracing team so that those who test positive for COVID-19, and their contacts are given accurate and timely advice. The postholder will manage more complex calls, escalating as per local protocols when required. The postholder will ensure the team has the appropriate level of support, training and access to information and systems, so that they are able to effectively support Sefton residents to self-isolate and identify contacts, as per national guidance.

Working closely with the Public Health Team, the overall aim is to reduce transmission of the virus in the community. Training will be provided. You will have excellent communication skills, be non-judgemental, have competent IT skills and can demonstrate experience of dealing with sensitive or controversial issues in a diplomatic way.

Applicants must be flexible and be prepared to work from home and out in the borough if required. Some weekend working will be required as part of a rota.
