We are looking for a Finance and Risk Manager, working in the Financial Services Department.  You will have at least 3 years’ experience of working in a local government setting with knowledge of VAT, Insurance and Risk Management.

You will be highly motivated and hold a Higher National Certificate or equivalent in Risk Management or a Business/ Finance Related Subject (preferably degree level).  You will be expected to communicate with staff regarding complex matters, such as VAT, Insurance and Risk Management with an ability to interpret new legislation as and when it is issued.

To move the Arun District Council Risk Management strategy forward, the right candidate will be expected to develop the programme using their own initiative. 

Arun District Council provides flexible working from 7.30am to 7pm. Due to Covid-19 guidance, the candidate will initially have to work from home (good broadband connection required) and undertake necessary local site visits within the Arun district for insurance claims when required.  Once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted and updated working practices are issued, the candidate must be prepared to work at the Civic Centre office in Littlehampton.
