The role

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Kitchen Assistant in Kempston. As our Kitchen Assistant, you will be essential for the overall efficiency and standards of our back of house function committed to providing a fine dining experience to our residents.

  • Location: Kempston, Bedfordshire
  • Salary: £9.50 per hour
  • Working Hours: 32 hours/ week- working 4 out of 7 days a week including every other weekend. Shifts range between 07:00-19:00 but will mostly be 11:00-19:00

Your duties will include:

  • Providing an efficient and effective restaurant service that fully meets the needs of our residents, along with the high standards expected within the Home.
  • Assisting with fresh food items, plating and delivering to our residents during food service times.
  • Ensuring all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and that overall cleanliness of the kitchen is maintained at all times.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times

What you will need to succeed

We are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is positive and friendly. The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous catering or hospitality experience – desirable
  • Great teamwork skills.
  • The ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality of output.
  • An eye for detail.
