This is an exciting opportunity for you to lead, manage and develop the cemetery service for Dacorum Borough Council. You will be responsible for the Borough’s 5 operating cemeteries and a number of closed cemeteries in addition to being responsible for public health burials.
This post requires a high calibre candidate who holds or is working towards a BTEC HNC Diploma from the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management or is able to demonstrate five years relevant experience. You must be familiar with the changes and challenges facing cemetery management and be capable of resolving issues with tact and diplomacy. You must demonstrate your ability to manage a diverse workforce of disciplines, whilst setting and monitoring performance targets and managing multiple priorities. A minimum of three years relevant management experience is essential.
There is a detached 3 bedroom property at Woodwells Cemetery in Hemel Hempstead, with a subsidised rental to reflect living on site and security responsibilities. The Team Leader will be liable for all utility bills, council tax etc.
