Senior Administration Officer (Homelink)

Woking Borough Council is seeking an adaptable and reliable professional to join our Health and Wellbeing Team as Senior Administration Officer on a full time, permanent basis.

The Health and Wellbeing Team work with elderly, disabled and vulnerable residents in Woking, to enable them to maintain their independence at home in reasonable security, safety and comfort.

The Senior Administration Officer will be part of our successful and busy team providing administrative support to organise major and minor adaptations via the Home Improvement Agency (Homelink) and Handyperson service. The role will include the administration of grant funding for disabled adaptations, responsibility for the Homesafe Plus scheme that enables hospital discharge and assisting with the running of the Handyperson service including logging and booking appointments.  The Senior Administration Officer will also be responsible for the supervision of the Homelink administration team.

The successful candidate will ideally have good organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines and experience of providing high quality administrative support, including maintaining accurate records, processing invoices and payments and liaising with contractors, voluntary and statutory agencies. They will have a desire to  provide excellent customer care and to help vulnerable residents.
