West Blatchington Primary & Nursery School is an exciting, forward looking school and a great place to work. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated candidate, with a proven success record of supporting children to reach their full potential in school. You will be working closely with a strong and committed Inclusion Team.
Paid weeks per year: 47.15 inclusive of holiday entitlement
Hours: 34.75 hours per week – (08:15-3:30 pm for 3 days a week and 8:15 – 4pm for 2 days a week – it can be negotiated which days have the later finish time )
Days: Monday to Friday term time (with a 30 min lunch unpaid break)
Start date: September 2021

The successful candidate will need to have the following skills, capabilities and experience:
•Experienced Learning Mentor
•Understanding of the principles of child development and learning processes and, in particular, barriers to learning
•Excellent communication and engagement skills with all stakeholders
•Committed to raising attainment of all pupils
•Strong organisational skills
•Ability to work with initiative and as part of a team
•Flexible approach to provision
•Experience of child protection procedures
We are a busy and dynamic school with over 260 pupils and provide a warm, friendly working environment
