We are offering an excellent opportunity to join our experienced team as an Arboricultural and Ground Technical Officer with the primary role to carry out tree inspections and arrange any necessary works including in our parks and woodlands. Part of the role also extends to our other  Team roles in parks, open spaces and grounds contract activities.

Do you have the right skills and experience? To be successful, you must have a nationally recognised qualification in Arboriculture i.e. an NVQ Level 4 in Arboriculture is deemed an essential minimal level.

You must demonstrate competent knowledge of tree husbandry and arboricultural management techniques, with at least six months practical experience of tree inspection and management.

There is a real opportunity to further training to assist you to grow your career.

You should also have the ability to prioritise and plan a mixed workload and have the ability to work with colleagues, customers, contractors and our Councillors. You will be a confident and capable communicator and collaborator, forming positive working relationships. By the nature of the job, a high standard of oral and written communication is essential. You must also display the ability to monitor contracts and to use computer systems and software packages.

You must be able to demonstrate, and have experience in working with people and be adaptable and flexible.
