We are looking for a dynamic team manager to help lead our staff within the safeguarding unit in our mission to safeguard and review children and young people in need of care and protection in Sefton.
Here at Sefton Children’s Services, we want to ensure that robust, effective plans are in place to support children and their families and this role will specifically focus on child protection planning. This is an additional managers role in the unit which will be responsible for enhancing the quality assurance of plans, whilst embedding some new roles, who the successful candidate will have line management responsibility of. The role will be responsible for the child in Need IRO function, the Fostering IRO as well as the established roles of Child protection Conference chairs and LADO.
The successful applicant will be expected to provide robust, reflective supervision in line with Sefton’s supervision policy. As a Team Manager, you will also be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of safeguarding procedures, legislation and be able to embed quality working practices in safeguarding planning and ongoing review.
Applicants will ideally have proven management experience or be ready to demonstrate that they are able to step up to this role. Please note that in order to apply for this post you must be qualified and registered as a Social Worker with Social Work England and have post qualifying experience in safeguarding children.
