Are you interested in making a difference to the outcomes experienced by those threatened with homelessness or already without a suitable home?
Do you have experience of homelessness prevention work and homelessness legislation?
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual for this challenging new role within the Homelessness Prevention Team. This is a key role to support our successful implementation of the Homelessness Reduction Act.
You will be responsible for undertaking reviews of homelessness decisions within the legislative framework and case file reviews for quality and performance, as well as dealing with customer feedback.
The post holder will supervise and mentor a small team of Homeless Prevention Assistants and work closely with other agencies, departments, and senior officers.
You will also be responsible for developing policy and good practice to improve service delivery, including training for team members and briefings to partner organisations.
With extensive housing need and homelessness experience you will also be able to demonstrate a track record of making appropriate decisions and securing positive outcomes. You will also have excellent communication and networking skills to build positive relationships, including a solid grasp of best practice and the ability to apply this within a wider quality assurance, case, and service review context.
