A position exists within the Revenue Services Department (Overpayments of Housing Benefit). You will lead a team responsible for providing a comprehensive recovery service delivering effective and efficient recovery of overpaid housing benefit.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and hard working to lead our busy team dealing with large numbers of telephone calls, emails and written correspondence from Tower Hamlets residents, Social Landlords, Advice Agencies, Councillors, MPs and the Mayor.
You will have experience of Benefit Overpayments recovery procedures and processes. You will also have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Housing Benefit legislation, regulations and working practices.
Excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills will be needed to help you to manage your busy and varied workload.
