Job introduction

Fixed term for: 24 months to deliver a programme of work

Interview date: Provisionally 10th August

For an informal discussion, please contact Ben Miles - Property Programmes & Business Manager on 07557 744647.

About the role

We are recovering from a global pandemic, and like many organisations, the way we work at Brighton & Hove City Council is fundamentally changing.

We are ready to embrace a new way of doing things. How we use space to deliver services in the future is central to the Council's recovery programme.

As part of Property & Design's Workstyles team you will have an opportunity to help shape the Council's accommodation strategy, defining how our property can be used to enable new forms of service delivery.

We need someone who is passionate about the systems and processes that are put in place to deliver services effectively, that hold excellent customer experience at their centre, and ultimately improve the lives of the residents of Brighton & Hove. We need someone who understands the emotive and logistical challenges of change, who can work with both empathy and clarity of purpose. We need someone with a fine eye for detail, but who also sees the bigger picture.

If this sounds like you, we look forward to receiving your application and welcoming you to the team.

As part of the application process we require you to answer some questions to support your application called 'Branching Questions'. These questions form part of the online application process, accessed via the 'Apply' button.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: We may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Please see for more information on the Skilled Worker Visa.

Company information

We welcome applications from all sections of the community but particularly encourage applicants from a BME or White Other background as well as those who identify as disabled, LGB, female or trans as these groups are currently under-represented in our Directorate workforce.
