Administration Officer, full time 37 hours per week

Salary £19,312 to £19,698

Working Pattern Monday to Friday (to cover office hours 0900-1730 Mon-Thur, 0900-1640 Fri) 

Location: Runcorn based but must be flexible to work in either Widnes or from home as required

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our agile and resourceful team. We are looking for an Administration Officer who enjoys working in a varied and busy environment and has previous office experience.


You will be based in an administration team providing support to front line staff delivering Council services across the Borough and you will be flexible to provide support to other teams as necessary.

Specific requirements of this post are evaluation and archiving of paper records for retention, storage and destruction. Some physical lifting and transporting of boxes of records will be required.

Some driving will also be required to assist with the Council’s daily courier service.

This post will also provide an essential note taking resource to support other teams across the Division, particularly in Children’s social care.

You must have demonstrable experience of note-taking and organising meetings as well as experience of undertaking a wide range of general office tasks. You should also have IT experience and be able to work to deadlines.

Ideally, you will be educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent) including Maths and English, and have an awareness of maintaining confidentiality in the course of the job.
