ICT Technician (Regulatory Services)

Fixed Term 12 months contract, subject to extension.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Licensing Team and support the implementation of a new system to support the service delivery of the department. The role will provide IT support for the Regulatory Services database systems which includes Licensing, Environmental Health and Trading Standards. This is an exciting opportunity to support a period of change and there will be several dedicated IT systems and various IT packages to work with, so proven experience in office applications and databases is essential.

The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards a professional, academic or industry standard qualification relevant to the realm of technical expertise for the role (A Level or equivalent and/or working towards NVQ Level 4 or equivalent). Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential alongside the ability to work to deadlines and be proficient in using your initiative to identify and resolve problems.

We are also looking for strong analytical expertise as well as the ability to be highly organised, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

This position will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home.  In future, the Council will be moving to a hybrid of working arrangements for many of our roles with a combination of homeworking, office and site working as required.
