Hours: 16.25 hours per week, term time only, no INSET days
Contract: Fixed Term Contract from 1 October 2021, earlier if possible, to 31 August 2022 pending funding review or the child’s departure from school, whichever is the earliest.
Salary: JG3, £19,312 - £19,698 per annum, pro rata
Actual Salary: £6,620 - £6,753 for the fixed term contract (£7,222 - £7,532 per annum)
St Andrew’s is a successful Church of England Primary School operating at the heart of the local community with proven dedication to its pupils and staff. We are an accredited Thrive school, passionate about supporting all of our children with their emotional and social development as well as their academic progress. From 1 October 2021, earlier if possible, we require an enthusiastic and creative LSA to join our team and support a Key Stage 2 child in receipt of Top Up Funding. The post is term time only with no attendance on INSET days. Daily working hours are 8.45am to 12.00pm.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player expected to work under the direction of the class teacher and from own initiative to ensure the best support of the child and class. Experience of working in a school and working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs is essential. The successful candidate must have good levels of English and Maths and be able to engage effectively with children, staff and parents to nurture pupil development.
