The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues. In April 2019, the Centre opened its new Centre of Excellence located in King’s Cross.
The Centre values diversity and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We encourage applications from all sections of the community.
The Centre is the leading national charity supporting young minds through innovative therapeutic practice, training and research. Our vision is a world in which children, young people and their families are effectively supported to build on their own strengths to achieve their goals in life.
The National Centre for Family Hubs will be a virtual resource hub and learning network (supporting by a series of dissemination events) to champion family hubs and spread best practice/evidence on integrated family service models to Local Authorities (LAs) across England.
The post-holders will work with the Programme Manager and the team of Regional Coordinators to enable effective dissemination of expertise and iterative learning from best practice around Family Hubs to LAs and other stakeholders in their region(s).
The Regional Coordinator’s role will be to engage and consult with LAs in the region(s) to support them in the implementation of Family Hubs in their area. The post-holders will manage a seconded Regional Advisor in each region to support this. The post-holders will host regional events, regular action learning sets and be a key conduit for supporting LAs in their region(s) to learn from the National Centre to adopt Family Hubs.
The post would be suited to resilient, motivated, politically-aware, organised, creative, outward-looking individuals, adept in developing relationships and networks to influence local policy and practice.
