This role will support our Employment Business and Skills (EBS) services and emerging plans for Business and Jobs Recovery. We are looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced programme manager to lead the Business Growth Team.
You will be responsible for leading and delivering an ambitious programme of business growth activities, projects/programmes and initiatives, collaborating with delivery leads across EBS and other council service teams. You will also manage and oversee our business engagement activities and job creation pipelines, oversee delivery of our Creative Enterprise Zone Action Plan in Blackhorse Lane and management of our workspace and meanwhile use projects.
Working alongside colleagues in Regeneration, Planning, Property, Culture, Licensing, Public Health and Residents Services you will help to support wider economic recovery activities and maximise opportunities for jobs, regeneration, and long-term economic growth in the borough.
The successful candidate will have significant experience of project and programme management and of delivering business growth and economic regeneration activities and outcomes that contribute to the achievement of strategic priorities.
You will have strong leadership skills, excellent people management techniques and be able to collaboration effectively with others. Also have plenty of energy and drive to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a mixed and varied workload.

- Experience of managing business and employment projects and programmes and supporting interrelated workstreams from internal teams and external partners.
- Strong communication skills with experience in briefing, advising, and influencing members, senior officers, and stakeholders
